The Center for the Advancement of Research on Eating Behaviors (CARE) is directed by Dr. Kelsie Forbush in the Department of Psychological Sciences at Purdue University. The CARE lab focuses on research related to normal and abnormal eating behaviors in men and women.

We are committed to research that is designed to improve the understanding of eating disorders using cutting-edge methods and novel approaches. Our research staff is sensitive to the concerns experienced by those suffering from abnormal eating behaviors and strives to give participants a pleasant research experience.

In the News

Jing Luo presented her undergraduate honor’s thesis research at the 2012 International Conference on Eating Disorders. Her thesis was supervised by Dr. Forbush and Dr. Kristian Markon at the University of Iowa. Jing is attending graduate school at the University of Illinois – Urbana-Champaign.

Dr. Forbush recently accepted the position of Editor of the Academy for Eating Disorders (AED) Forum, the official newsletter of the AED. Her official term as editor will begin in 2013.
